KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION FOR 2017-2018

ENROLLMENT PROCESS
for STUDENTS ENTERING KINDERGARTEN
for the 2017/18 school year

REGISTRATION OVERVIEW

In an effort to help us plan and most efficiently execute the registration process:
  • Please complete the Required PARTS outlined below on this web page for each child you are registering.

  • Once you have completed the Required PARTS outlined below, please contact Ms. Katie Dicristina, Administrative Assistant at Hilltop School, to schedule a registration appointment for the week of February 6-10, 2017. Appointments can be made from 9:30am-11:00am or 1:30pm-3:00pm. Contact Ms. Dicristina by e-mail, dicristina@mendhamboroschools.org or by phone 973-543-4251, ext. 121.  

  • When you come in for registration, you will also sign up for a 15-minute conference with Hilltop's principal, Mr. David Heller.

PART 1 | Required Online Registration


PART 2 | Required Documentation

The following documentation is required for registration.  Families must bring these with you when you register:
  • Your child's birth certificate;

    AND

  • Three (3) of the following:
    • Mortgage Statement
    • Certificate of Occupancy
    • Homeowner's Insurance
    • Tax Bill
    • Lease
    • Deed
    • Gas or Electric bill

All documents must be originals.  Ms. Dicristina will make a copy of these documents for your child's permanent student file and promptly return your originals to you.

PART 3 | Required Paperwork

The following forms are required for registration.  Families must complete these forms and bring them with you when you register:

PART 4 | Optional Busing Reservation Form

Regular Busing Reservation Form (for Students who live 2.0 MILES OR GREATER THAN from their school):
  • Regular busing program for all students who are 2.0 MILES OR GREATER THAN, as determined by the business office, from their elementary or middle school, will be provided by the Board of Education for the coming school year. Mileage is measured by taking the most direct route from the front door of the home to the first door of the school building.
  • If you would like to secure a seat on the bus for your student(s), click here to complete an application form:
    • You must submit a form for each child if you have multiple students who will be using the regular bus program.
    • Please make sure you intend to use this service before completing the application.
    • Once submitted, please 3-4 business days for processing. You will receive a confirmation email from the business office notifying that your submission has been approved.

Subscription Busing Reservation Form (for Students who are LESS THAN 2.0 miles from their school):
  • A subscription busing program for all students who are LESS THAN 2.0 MILES from their elementary or middle school will be provided by the Board of Education for the coming school year. Mileage is measured by taking the most direct route from the front door of the home to the first door of the school building.
  • If you would like to secure a seat on the bus for your student(s), click here to complete an online application form
    • You must submit a form for each child if you have multiple students who will be using the subscription bus program.
    • Please understand that the application will not be processed until payment is received. Please make checks payable to the Mendham Borough Board of Education in the amount of $464.00 per child. Your canceled check will be your receipt.
    • Bus contracts are awarded on the basis of the number of riding students. Once the route has been determined, the costs are fixed. Please make sure you intend to use this service before completing the application. Refunds will not be available.

Please note:  Our administration reviews all required & annual forms for students yearly; and may need registrants to complete additional paperwork.
