Character.org, a national advocate and leader for character development in schools and communities, has redesignated Hilltop Elementary School as a National School of Character. Hilltop School was initially designated a National School of Character in 2018.
The schools and districts that apply must meet the rigorous standards articulated in Character.org’s 11 Principles Framework for Schools. In March, Hilltop was assessed by a team of trained evaluators, who reviewed the application and met with many groups including teachers, parents, students, and the school's character education committee.
