KINDERGARTEN & FIRST GRADE REGISTRATION 2022-2023
Hilltop Elementary School in Mendham Borough is excited to begin the process of forming our 2022 kindergarten class. Pre-registration for the 2022-23 kindergarten class is now open. Children must be five years of age on or before October 1, 2022 in order to register for kindergarten. Any students enrolling for first grade, from an outside kindergarten program, should also register at this time. To pre-register, please click here.
Once you have completed this step, please book your on-site registration appointment. Appointments will be held on Tuesday, February 15th, Wednesday, February 16th and Thursday, February 17th from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM. During this time (approx. 15min.), you will meet with Mrs. Austin to complete your child’s permanent file and to receive a list of important dates.
Before you come to your scheduled appointment, please visit the Enrollment Process page on our website, to review the necessary steps to enroll and to download all of the required documents that need to be submitted at the time of registration. These documents include: The Residency Packet, Kindergarten Entrance Form and required medical forms including the Health Assessment Record, Universal Health Record and Dental Exam form. Please note that the Universal Health Record will need to be completed by your child’s physician and the dental form by your child’s dentist. We will also require a copy of your child’s up-to-date immunization records which you can obtain from your child’s pediatrician.
In addition to the aforementioned documents, we will also need to copy your child’s original birth certificate and three (3) proofs of residency. You can find the list of acceptable documentation in part three of our Enrollment Process page.
After your child has been fully registered, please also take a moment to schedule a 15 minute conference with Hilltop’s principal, David Heller, during the week of April 25th-29th. Please note that Thursday, April 28th will be reserved for virtual conferences only. All other days, please specify whether or not you prefer your conference to be virtual or in-person.
