Hilltop School had an amazing day with Rod Hirsch and his volunteers from Operation Shoebox NJ. Teams of Hilltop parents manned stations from packing to boxing and taping, while students loaded boxes of toiletries and snacks for brave U.S. men and women overseas - 300 to be exact!
With the generosity of our community, we set another record with our donation, a whopping $3,400! Boxes will be brought to the post office in the next few days and within 2 weeks some of our brave troops will be ripping them open and reading letters from our students and enjoying some of the smaller things we take for granted - a new toothbrush or razor, a Twix bar, gum and many other treats.
Hilltop School is designated as a state and national school of character and days like these affirm that. Many thanks to our supportive school community with this project and with instilling positive character values in our students.
