Annually, the Morris County School Boards Association presents the Unsung Hero Award to an eighth-grade student from each school district in Morris County who exhibits a spirit and quiet strength that inspires others, is a model of good citizenship, and has overcome complex challenges.
The Mendham Borough 2023-2024 Unsung Hero Award recipient is Mark Walsh. Board President Mrs. Catalina Wolfmeyer, Superintendent Dr. Mitzi Morillo, Mountain View Middle School Principal Mrs. Aimee Toth, and his parents, Jennifer and Luke Walsh, joined Mark to celebrate his recognition.
